Two days ago I found an interesting picture on my Facebook wall which I loved right away and had to share (don’t you love the share buttons?). In fact, it made me giggle and I had to agree fully with the artist who made this pic.
So, what is success then? What would you say? …here is one answer: “Success should be measured as the positive impact his work will have upon the lives of other people.”
Agree?
Obviously I don’t think there is right or wrong as to how we define success. The term Success is subjective though, what success means to you may be totally different from what it means to me or other people, and this is perfectly fine.
For most people success seems to equate with money. The more money you make, the more successful you are.
I think it is possible to make a lot of money and have a positive impact in the lives of many people at the same time (and often times they go together). Just think about Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg….
I suspect that these were first and foremost motivated by the possibility of making something big that would impact many people. As Steve Jobs said, “by the possibility of putting a dent in the universe”.
Of course the money was welcomed too, but I don’t think it was the only nor the main thing they were pursuing.
Now let me ask you, are you working to make as much money as possible, or to make a big impact in your life and your family’s?
Imagine owning a business so successful that it gives you both the time and money to do the things you really enjoy and love. Activities like spending quality time with your family and friends, playing or watching your favorite sports, having extended vacations, or doing whatever you always dreamed of doing?
Think about it! What would you have to do? May be watch a video?
This is to YOUR Success!
