How to Guarantee Your Success

“Anything worth having is worth fighting for!”

That quote has been said by many in one  form or the other, and I find it to be a good calling card for going after the things that you want in life.   Far too often, especially in the internet marketing industry, people lose sight of that quote, not  because the things that you really want aren’t worth fighting for… but because you aren’t actually focusing on what you really want.

Let me give you an example to show you  what I mean.   If I ask you the question…  “Why do you want to get involved in internet marketing, with my business, with my training, etc.?”   and you answer…   “To make more money” I know that you are already at a serious disadvantage and will probably never actually make a dime  I also know that you will probably quit working with me in 30 days or less.

I’ll explain why in a minute, but first, let’s explore a different answer (the successful person answer).

Again… if I ask you, “Why do you want to get involved in internet marketing, with my business, with my training, etc.?”   And your answer is more like this…

“I work 60 hours a week and I miss my family terribly.  I want to spend as much time with them as possible.”

or…   “I am afraid of working for 40 years only to end up like 98% of the population.. broke, and needing help to survive from family or the government.”

or…   “I don’t have freedom in my current situation, and I want to have more control over my life, how I spend it, and who I spend it with.”

If you answer more like the 3 scenarios above, you are in a much better place to not just make money, but to create wealth and FREEDOM in your life.

Here’s why…   Money is a terrible motivator.   Money is a terrible motivator because it can be made in a gazillion ways.   If you are motivated by money alone, or at least are only acknowledging that you want money and not acknowledging WHY…   You will quit and look for one of the other gazillion ways to make money whenever you are challenged.

But… when your reason for wanting the money…   Your WHY … is very personal to YOU and very strong…   …you will FIGHT tooth and nail to make it happen no matter what.

My why’s actually go many, many levels deep.

(Sidenote:  The deeper that your why is, or the more you ask yourself why do I want that, the stronger that your why will be.)

But, on one level, why I want to be as successful  as I can be with my internet marketing business is not having to miss ANY time with my Wife and  my Children.   This why was solidified for me when my Daughter was just a couple of months old.   My Wife had gone back to work, and I was still working at the time (hadn’t been let go yet).   Every morning, I had to drop my Daughter off at daycare.   I had to drop my sweet, beautiful, brand new treasure off, so that she could spend her entire day getting to know strangers that couldn’t possibly give her the love that she needed to be receiving every second of the day.   It pained me.   It made me want to cry every morning. Every second away from her was felt in my heart.   It really was unbearable.

So… when I got “let go” from my job, I did EVERYTHING that I could to NEVER be  in that situation again.   I knew that if I wanted to never miss a second of my Daughter’s life (and now my Son), I would have to create wealth in a way that gave me the freedom to do that.   In my eyes, internet marketing was the only thing that offered me the ability to create wealth AND the time that I wanted.

Was it easy at first?   NO   Did I want to quit?   1,000 times   But, did I…    Hell NO!   Why?   Because every time things were difficult, or a pain in the ass, or not going well, I looked into the eyes of my beautiful babies, and my amazing wife and I said to myself…   Spending my life as close to the people that I love most in this world is worth WHATEVER it takes.

My point it this…   If you don’t know WHY you want money or wealth, you will never have as much of it as you deserve or desire.   If you don’t know what your why is, do this for yourself right now.   Ask yourself WHY you are wanting more  money, wealth, time, etc.   When you have the first answer… ask yourself why again.   Do this 3 or 4 times and you will have the strongest why possible.

When you have the strongest why possible, you have the FUEL to do whatever you want in life.   Because when things are important enough to you, you will NEVER quit.   You will never say “I don’t know how to blog.”   You will learn how.   You will never say, “I don’t have time.”   You will find it.   You will never say, “I can’t afford that right now” when you really could if you wanted to make sacrifices.

Because what you want is worth ANY price to get.   You will never, ever quit because quitting doesn’t just mean “less money.”   Quitting means pain and anguish and missing out on something that makes your heart feel like bursting in your chest.   Am I being overly dramatic?   NO.   Your why has to be that important to be successful at any real level in life.   Your why has to be so strong that you  would quite literally do anything (legal, ethical, moral) to make it happen.   Even if it was hard.   Even if it was new.   Even if you think you can’t.

If your why is strong enough…   You CAN and WILL do anything you want. If you’re looking for the SECRET to success in anything in life, that’s it.   You’re amazing and deserve the best that life has to offer.
